
THE IDEA
Create ‘The Old Guard’ mini-game
that would spark a global competition for the ultimate prize:
An immortal Netflix account.
THE OBJECTIVE
Defeat five waves of enemies in the shortest amount of time.
You would play as one of the immortals, giving you the power to revive unlimited times.
However, each death came with a time penalty, such that if you died, you had to take some time to get up and start fighting again. The less you died, the faster you would beat it.
In the game, each wave of enemies would unfold in a different time period, taking the perspective of the immortals who fight through the many battles of history. You could fight with various weapons, including the iconic ax that Andy wields.
To create excitement about the game, a series of assets were created to promote it through the different Netflix social channels.
